Welcome! I’m Ally

Mama & Surface Pattern Designer

Nope, it’s not short for anything, just Ally! I’m a blessed wife staying home to raise and educate our 3 children.

Embracing my vocation at home, I found tremendous joy in new hobbies like sewing, baking/cooking from scratch, and managing a single income household with budgets and meal planning. I’ve also learned the importance of what it means to create a home, and how art and design can factor into this.

My 4 year corporate career as a project consultant taught me the biggest impacts are made by telling a compelling and clear visual story. I’ve found this to be true beyond the workplace, right in my own home.

From the art I hang to the colors I choose, my home is a carefully curated visual story of who we are as a family and what we value. My goal is to honor the beauty and sacredness of family by creating designs that reflect and strengthen the values that matter most in your home.

Mitchell Atelier Designs

“Gift of God”

MADs, a perfect acronym for Mitchell Atelier Designs, has origin in the Hebrew name Matthew meaning “Gift of God.” The art created here truly serves to share the many gifts I have been blessed with while offering that gift to others through tangible gift giving of beauty and physical products.

My Design Style

  • Patterns inspired by the beauty of everyday life, family moments, my Catholic faith and the simple joys that make motherhood so special. Through God’s creations and gift of beauty in the world, my patterns bring a sense of tranquility and sacredness into everyday spaces.

  • Christian cottagecore with more muted and neutral colors. I tend to find a mature and elegant approach to child-like concepts

  • for the subtle evangelist, the Christian rooted designs apply to many products and places in the home such as wallpaper, fabric, tablecloths and wall decor!
